The INFP Diary: Chapter 3 - Coming home: A love story

She just came home, tired yet satisfied from an annual get-together with her friends back in secondary school.
It's always great meeting old friends, she thought. Meeting them is akin to returning home. It is so effortless and comfortable, everything just feels right, while it lasted at least.
Still, all good things come to an end.
It was time to say good bye, and head home.
It was a great night, she thought. How much she has missed them.
When everyone moves on in life and walk their separate paths, it's hard to keep in contact.
That's right, it felt like returning home.

As minutes go, the feeling of emptiness began mounting, a little at a time.
She shrugged it off. Must be how I'll miss seeing my friends, after all it's only once a year, she thought.
Yet with every step she took, her heart grew heavier.
Back at home, the void in her took root. Something was on her mind.
Still, she tried to shrug it off
Resorting to arranging music scores to distract herself.

Minutes passed, and her heart started to ache.
She stopped arranging. It's no use.
She had to face it, or it might eat her up.
She stared into space
Into the void
The void threatening to swallow her whole
The merciless, innate void she had to battle with for years

She was turning 20 in a matter of weeks.
Time is not in her favour, she thought.
What would she do with this loneliness in her heart? Eating inside of her?
What would she do with her life if she could not achieved her life dream?

She was alone, and felt alone.
She was single, never dated before, and yet yearned for a life partner

She is a dreamer
An avid dreamer, at that.
She dreams of all the dates that she never went on
She dreams of awkward first kisses, awkward confessions
She dreams of the warmth when her hand is held and fingers are interlocked
She dreams of someone that she never met

She dreams of the adventures they would embark on
Making memories of the past, building their lives for a future together
She dreams of cooking for him, although she's not a good cook herself
She dreams of caring for someone she never met

The starlit ocean
The moonlit horizon
The land breeze so strong, it could carry emotions into an eternity they vowed to work towards to
On the breakwater
The moonlight perfectly captures two embracing silhouettes
She said 'yes'
She dreams of a proposal from a guy she has never met

She is a hopeless romantic
She is shy, whimsical, a little out of this world when she daydreams
I don't wish for much, she tells herself
Just the love of my life
Please?

She was terrified
Deep inside
Is this an insecurity uncalled for in an age where women are supposed to be independent?
Was her desire unjustified?
She dare not speak about it to her friends
She would let the void swallow her in, bit by bit

Back at home, it didn't feel like home
Back at home, alone, she was forced to face her insecurities once again
Back at home, alone, her mind was allowed to wander
Stop it. Stop daydreaming.
STOP IT

But I can't, she conceded
I am a dreamer, by nature.
I've tried many times, but I just can't.
What am I to do then?
This void...
It's turning into a black hole, expanding and threatening to take me whole

Is it possible to miss someone I've never met?

She missed him dearly.
She wanted to see him.
She was tired of waiting.
She wanted to return home.

She wanted to return home.
To a home, she knows, will be there for eternity.
A home that will fill her void.
A home that would assure her
She wouldn't be alone ever again.

Arslan Senki is one badass anime

Spring 2015 anime has already been ongoing for awhile, and I've been watching these titles: Owari no Seraph Nisekoi S2 Shokugeki no Soma Arslan Senki Plastic Memories Ore Monogatari Out of all of these, I would have to say that Arslan Senki is my favourite!  Ok with as little spoilers as possible... Arslan is the prince and apparent heir of the throne in the undefeated Kingdom of Pars. His father, King Andragoras, is the king known to have led his army to victory at every war, making his army formidable and seemingly without equal. But of course, going undefeated makes the kingdom and the king full of themselves and eventually led to a crushing defeat in the war against Lusitania. The king is nowhere to be found and the kingdom of Pars is just about to be invaded by the swarming armies of Lusitania.  Also, a little of backdrop, Lusitania is a country which believes in a god (forgot the name) and abhors the idea of slavery. Their religion speaks of ...

Fully Redeemed by His Blood

It has been a few years since I last wrote a post. You could say I was Spirit-led to my old blog - perhaps to recall the negativity, nonchalance, and frustrations of my teenage years, which I now find difficult to remember.  Why can't I remember them despite having written many posts about my emotions, as a way to process them? Because I have been redeemed by God. For the past 2 years, God worked in me and brought me out of my misery, a misery I thought would never get out of.  Today - about 3, 4 years since my last update - I write to share that my life has changed for the better. In fact, it is fantastic.  I can now breathe.  I laugh freely with much less fear of what is to come.  I have hope. I have dreams. I am no longer lonely. I am feeling more complete than ever with God.  It sounds too good to be true. But IT IS. It is what it is. It's too good, but it's true.  If you're having doubts, I understand you. I used to be a skeptic. I hated Christian...

The INFP Diary: Chapter 2

So tonight on my way back from work, I guess I was tired and wanted to stare into space for awhile. But not really that kinda stare into space. It's those kind of daydreaming in which you are still aware of your surroundings. In fact, you notice the surroundings more.   On the train, I was staring out the window. With my earphones on, I was essentially in my own world. As the train trailed past buildings, I found myself marvelling at the beauty of 'sceneries' created by buildings and the lights they each bear. That moment, I was reminded of Final Fantasy X and the Zanarkand cut scenes. and then suddenly I realised how good Square Enix's graphics are to resemble reality so much.   The same was happening while I was taking the bus back. I guess we never really took a good look at our surroundings because we are all so tired and so absorbed into whatever we are doing. It's through daydreaming that I can tell that I'm finally relaxing. Usually I am stre...
